Summer Activities at First Church

The following list of activities shows that First Presbyterian is never busier than in the summer.  Come join us for any of the fun and fellowship that appeals to you.  We will be here for you!

Church Outing

July 10   2:00-7:30, Picnic at 5:00

Our annual church family outing was a great success.  With over 70 people in attendance, the fellowship, games, and food were beyond description.  Closing vespers were a time to reflect on the beauty of our surroundings and the gift of fellowship with one another.

Vacation Bible School - Galactic Blast

July 18 - 23, 6:00 - 8:30 PM

The Cosmic Adventure Praising God was a huge success.  Over 70 children participated during the course of the week, with daily attendance of over 50.  Interactive Bible study, science discovery, recreation, snacks, crafts, and assemblies with singing and praise to God provided unlimited opportunities for children from Pre-K to 5th Grade to learn and understand more of how wonderful our God really is.

Peach Festival

August 7  10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

The Annual Peach Festival was an enormous success, with beautiful weather, a wonderful showing at the Classic Auto Show, superb music from the Good News Blues, entertaining face painting for children (and an adult or two), and delicious picnic food highlighted by magnificent peach pies and peach shortcake.  With more visitors than ever before, we continue to see this event as an important outreach to our neighbors and the community.

Flea Market

Sept 3 & 4  9 AM - 1 PM

Once again the Men's Association and the HOA will be sponsoring a Flea Market to raise money for their projects throughout the year.  Always a popular event with members and neighbors, we are extending the market to two days with the promise of new items appearing on the second day.  Anyone wishing to have items picked up for sale at the market, please call the office after August 1.
